CSS SOFTWARE SYSTEMS ANALYST
Position Overview:
The CSS Software Systems Analyst (CSSA) role is to design and implement a software system that is capable of systemic data entry, update and retrieval across the CSS Sustainability Journey from various CSS initiatives. The analyst is expected to understand the end use in terms of output of these various data needs in the form of reports and data for further analysis for research and impact publication.
In addition to these responsibilities, the CSSA is also required to have knowledge in AI development, with a focus on integrating AI technologies for advanced data analysis and automation within the CSS framework. This includes Utilizing AI for data analysis, predictive modelling, and decision-making processes.
This role will complement and support the CSS Business Lead who will be collecting the data, designing and mapping the processes across CSS streamlining them while the Systems Analyst will execute these processes and providing insights into the design and expected outputs and reports. The systems analyst is also expected to conduct quality checks on data and devise data governance strategies for CSS data.
The CSSA will also be responsible for providing CSS Impact metrics on a periodic basis for various stakeholders, ASB BOD and BOG updates and for CSS outreach material and website.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
• To design a software system and process for CSS data collection, data creation, data recording and data retrieval needs
• To perform data analysis and provide insights for reports and data sharing inside CSS team and outside.
• Communicate and follow up effectively and clearly, internally within CSS and outside with CSS stakeholders on all Data related needs.
• Support CSS Managers for Quarterly reports and Metrics
• Support Research Officer on data provision for writings and publications
• Be able to support UAT and support BRD documentation.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Experience with Software Data and IT Management
• Exposure to IT and worked with Software Development Teams directly or indirectly.
• Good knowledge of database design and software (s) for front end and back-end integration and AI technologies.
• Data mapping, structuring for the CSS Business data and data modelling and designing AI-driven Data Models.
• Designing Data Model to meet CSS Business needs and executing with an appropriate Database (software)
• Designing for front end data collection tools including online/mobile App forms
• Knowledge on creating reports and SW tools.
Preferred
• Proven experience (3 to 5 years) with software systems design, data modelling and database design
• Exposure to Business requirement Analysis
• Experience with NLP, computer vision, or reinforcement learning.
• Contributions to open-source GitHub or Hugging Face AI projects.
• Prior experience working in an Agile development environment.
General Description
- To lead in coordinating the general research activities of the research project, including assisting the research center Faculty Director on project planning and management.
- To manage and plan the research project, budget and expenditure together with the research center management team.
- To lead in reporting research project activities to grant provider and senior management.
- To lead, manage and monitor the research project administration, including the research project management, publication process, workshop organization and event organization.
- To manage the promotion of the research project and research activities in the research center.
- To participate in the general management activities of the research centers together with the research center management team.
Minimum Qualification and Skills Required
- Excellent command of English and Malay (spoken and written) – both in research writing and also on business writing. 
- Excellent general administration and Project Management skills.
- Excellent skills in using Microsoft office software and other project planning tools.
- Excellent organisational and collaboration skills, strong team player that can lead and delegate to teams.
- Self-motivated to initiate, operate and manage multiple different operations in the research project and research center.
- Timely and detailed-oriented in managing operations and administration.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 5 years working experience in relevant field.
Remuneration
The base salary will be in the range of RM5,500 to RM6,500, and EPF, SOCSO and insurance will be included.
