ASSISTANT FIELD OFFICER (COMPLIANCE & CERTIFICATION)

A) Primary Job Description – Field Level
• Responsible as Person in Charge for collection centre and farmers documentation gathering for the purpose of certification.
• Responsible for farm mapping and farm assessment based on Certification and Livelihood compliance.
• Responsible on data collection verification based on RISS & MSPO compliance.
• Responsible to promoting RISS and engaging farmers for participate in smallholder association.
• Received the training from master trainer and delivered the training as per curriculum to smallholder.
• Supporting Field Officer on conducting any assessment (Example: SIA, HCV. Etc)

B) Primary Job Description – Desktop
• Continuously maintain data collection for existing, new smallholders’ information and documentation for certification (RSPO)
• Supporting Field Officer on conducting and analysis farmers risk assessment
• Supporting Field Officer on conducting any analysis for any assessment (Example: SIA, HCV. Etc)

C) Secondary Job Description
• RISS Smallholders Training
➢ Manage and maintain all training record conduct by Certification and Livelihood
➢ Responsible for evaluating the needs and current practices for an effective training.
➢ Develop and plan on training schedule to assess training needs.
➢ Maintain database for all training materials.

• MPOB License
➢ Accountable for making sure that each smallholder with a RISS certification has a current, legitimate MPOB license.

• MSPO Certification
➢ Accountable for ensuring that all RISS-certified smallholders are registered with MSPO certification.

Qualifications & Skills:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Social or Plantation or other related fields.
2. Proficiency with computer, MS Office, etc.
3. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
4. Good time management and organizational skills.
5. Strong research, decision making, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
6. Required language (s): Bahasa Malaysia, English.

General Description

  • To lead in coordinating the general research activities of the research project, including assisting the research center Faculty Director on project planning and management.
  • To manage and plan the research project, budget and expenditure together with the research center management team.
  • To lead in reporting research project activities to grant provider and senior management.
  • To lead, manage and monitor the research project administration, including the research project management, publication process, workshop organization and event organization.
  • To manage the promotion of the research project and research activities in the research center.
  • To participate in the general management activities of the research centers together with the research center management team.

Minimum Qualification and Skills Required

  • Excellent command of English and Malay (spoken and written) – both in research writing and also on business writing. 
  • Excellent general administration and Project Management skills.
  • Excellent skills in using Microsoft office software and other project planning tools.
  • Excellent organisational and collaboration skills, strong team player that can lead and delegate to teams.
  • Self-motivated to initiate, operate and manage multiple different operations in the research project and research center.
  • Timely and detailed-oriented in managing operations and administration.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 5 years working experience in relevant field.

Remuneration

The base salary will be in the range of RM5,500 to RM6,500, and EPF, SOCSO and insurance will be included.
