Assistant Manager, Innovation & Entrepreneurship Center

Reports to: Manager of IEC

Position Overview

As the Assistant Manager of the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Center (IEC) at Asia School of Business (ASB), you will support the Manager and senior leadership team in overseeing the planning, execution, and management of entrepreneurship programs and initiatives. Your role will involve collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, coordinating events, and ensuring the smooth operation of IEC programs. You will also be responsible for managing resources, tracking program progress, and ensuring the efficient delivery of activities aimed at fostering innovation and entrepreneurship at ASB.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions**)

Program Support and Coordination:

  • Assist the Manager in coordinating and implementing IEC programs, including boot camps, accelerators, and experiential learning activities.
  • Help in the planning and logistics of events and activities, ensuring they align with program objectives and are executed smoothly.
  • Support the development and delivery of entrepreneurship courses and workshops for ASB students, including organizing guest speakers, coordinating field visits, and providing logistical support.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Maintain effective communication and build relationships with key internal stakeholders (faculty, staff, and students) and external partners (entrepreneurs, mentors, and investors).
  • Assist in managing the partnerships and collaborations that support the IEC’s goals, providing logistical and administrative support for external engagements.

Program Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Assist in tracking the progress of programs, gathering feedback, and preparing reports on program performance.
  • Help monitor the effectiveness of IEC services and activities, suggesting improvements where necessary.

Administrative Support:

  • Provide administrative support for program-related activities, including managing schedules, handling registration, and ensuring the timely delivery of resources.
  • Help with budget tracking and financial management for IEC events and programs.

Event Planning:

  • Assist with organizing and supporting IEC events, such as hackathons, pitch events, workshops, and conferences.
  • Handle logistics, coordinate with speakers, and ensure all event materials and resources are prepared and available.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, entrepreneurship, innovation, or a related field.
  • At least 2-3 years of relevant experience in the field of innovation, entrepreneurship, or program coordination.
  • Experience in program coordination or support within an innovation and entrepreneurship center, co-working spaces, start-up accelerator, or similar environment is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage tasks and support projects across various stages, including planning, coordination, and execution.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work collaboratively with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Effective communication skills (both written and verbal), with the ability to convey ideas clearly and professionally.
  • Proven ability to handle administrative tasks efficiently, manage multiple priorities, and ensure program logistics run smoothly.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and program objectives are met.
  • Ability to think critically and assist in the development of program improvements based on feedback and performance analysis.
