Biography

Su Yen is Co-Founder of Asia Crypto Alliance Ltd, a Government Affairs/ Public Policy veteran for the Asian banking and financial industry. She has worked in various roles in the banking sector, ranging from financial sales, relationship management and business development/strategy, for nearly three decades. She is now harnessing her knowledge in financial product sales and public policy to find avenues where technological solutions such as Blockchain technology and generative intelligence(“AI”) can be brought to bear in the financial sector.

Prior to establishing the ACA, SuYen was Euroclear Bank’s Deputy CEO and designated by the HongKong Monetary Authority(“HKMA”) and the Belgian Central Bank as the “Responsible Officer” for the bank’s operations in HK.

While performing her fiduciary duties, she continued her role as Asia’s Head of Strategy and Government Affairs. In her previous roles, Su Yen served as the Head of Government Relations, Asia Pacific, for Barclays Bank and Vice-President of Public Policy for Credit Suisse AG. While working for Credit Suisse she also double hatted as the the Asia Project Lead for the “One Bank” program. Su Yen began her banking career in New York City with JP Morgan Chase Bank and had job postings in Singapore (with Bankers Trust Company, Credit Suisse NA and Barclays Bank) and Hong Kong (with Euroclear Bank).She also worked for the United Nations Development Program, New York, where she crafted the analytical framework to perform analysis and reporting of data sets for the Millennium Development Goals project (the predecessor of the Sustainable Development Goals). A Sasakawa Fellow and a Columbia University graduate, Su Yen also co-authored the inaugural Gender Report for UNDP council members.
