N. Sadasivan, 81, graduated from the University of Malaya in 1963 with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Economics.

Dato’ N. Sadasivan began his career as an Economist with the Economic Development Board, Singapore in 1963. In 1968, Dato’ N. Sadasivan joined the Malaysian Industrial Development Authority (MIDA) and served as the Deputy Director General from 1976 to 1983. From 1984 until his retirement in 1995, he was the Director-General of MIDA.

Between 1995 to 2020, Dato’ Sadasivan had served as Independent Non-Executive Director in a number of public listed companies, namely Chemical Company of Malaysia (CCM) Berhad, Petronas Gas Berhad, Leader Universal Holdings Berhad, Yeo Hiap Seng (Malaysia) Berhad, Malaysia Airlines System Berhad and Yeo Hiap Seng (Singapore) PLC.

He had also served as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Pengurusan Danaharta National Berhad, Malaysian Industrial Development Finance (MIDF) Bhd., Amanah Merchant Bank and Singapore Unit Trust Bhd. Dato’ Sadasivan was also a Director of Bank Negara Malaysia from March 2000 to March 2021.

Presently, Dato’ Sadasivan is an Independent Non-Executive Director of one public listed company, namely APM Automotive Holdings Berhad.

He is also a Director of four private companies, namely SKA Management Consultants Sdn. Bhd., Panasonic Procurement Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., NHK Manufacturing (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. and Asia School of Business Management Sdn. Bhd.
