While the potential of CBDCs is promising, there are tradeoffs in introducing a central bank digital currency. To help central banks think about the opportunities and risks presented by sovereign digital currencies, Professors Munro and Ong at the Asia School of Business have developed the course Demystifying the Fast-Changing World of Digital Currencies, covering the topics of both CBDCs and private alternatives.
If you are a non-specialist, who wants to be able to make sense of, and be current on, the fast-evolving world of digital currency, this course is for you. Demystifying the Fast-Changing World of Digital Currencies aims to equip participants with a keener sense of the potential of the new technologies, and help them understand the pros and cons, as well as the complexities of digital currencies. Rather than advocating for or against digital currencies, this discussion based course aims to help participants take a holistic approach.
Non-specialists, who want to be able to make sense of, and be current on, the fast-evolving world of digital currency.
