Assistant Field Officer for CSS

Position Overview

The Assistant Field Officer will be responsible to support all farm and non-farm related initiatives and provide operational support to the officer(s) in charge.

  • Continuous engagement with existing and new farmers, Collection Centres(CC) and Dealerships to facilitate sustainability initiatives.
  • Records information, such as production, farm management practices, and prepares operational reports.
  • Build a good relationship with project stakeholders i.e. local farmers, dealers, super dealers, govt. agencies, certification bodies, etc.
  • Establish continuous data collection from relevant project stakeholders i.e., Farmers, CC, Super Dealer.
  • Supporting the Smallholder Livelihood Improvement project based on set guidelines and goals.
  • Ready to be trained by Agronomist and Manager and transfer knowledge to Learning Farms.
  • Coordinate and supervise sampling activities for Learning Farms.
  • Manage learning farms data collection on FFB Supply and Demand, nutrient management, water usage, fertilizer usage, harvesting cycle, Pesticide usage, etc
  • To support the CSS team for organizing events such as field days/demo, workshops, fertilizer supply chain, training, etc.
  • Maintaining records of work done, including assisting the Agronomist(s) in producing weekly work plan & weekly activity report for sharing with CSS and the Project Consultants
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Social, Communication, Plantation, Project Management, or other related fields.
  • Proficiency with computer, MS Office, etc.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong research, decision making, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Required language (s): Bahasa Malaysia, English.
