Biography
Dr. Wan Hamiza is a highly experienced education professional, leadership coach, trainer, educator, and researcher with over 28 years of distinguished service in senior roles across private universities and executive education. She holds a PhD in Engineering (Education) from the University of Newcastle, Australia; an MSc in Mechatronics Engineering from IIUM; and a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (Honors) from the University of Western Australia.
Dr. Wan has held multiple senior academic and administrative positions, including Senior Lecturer, Principal, Corporate Trainer, Head of Curriculum Development, Head of Academics, Deputy Registrar, and Director of Quality Assurance & Compliance. These roles have equipped her with deep expertise in leadership, strategic management, program development, assessment strategies, and program accreditation.
She has also served as a facilitator for the HRD Train-the-Trainer certification program. Dr. Wan is certified in DACUM and SCID (Ohio State University, 2009) and is a certified CUDBAS coach recognized by the Ministry of Human Resources. She has facilitated leadership programs such as Maybank M25UP (50 cohorts), the Emerging Leaders Program, and other executive development initiatives involving leaders from the banking, government, and private sectors.
Her industry-focused research and advisory work includes collaborations with Sarawak Energy on ESG and capacity-building projects aligned with PCDS 2030. She has received the Best Research Presentation Award from the University of Newcastle and the MARA Outstanding Educator Award. Dr. Wan has been a Professional Member of the Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBoT) since 2018.
