Martin Redrado

Martín Redrado is currently a Visiting Professor at Florida International University and Distinguished Fellow at the Gordon Institute of Public Policy. He is also the Director of Fundación Capital, a prominent economic research and public policy think tank (2010-present).

Previously, Redrado served as Senior Economic Advisor at the World Bank in Washington, DC (2015-2016) and as a member of the Dispute Settlements Unit at the World Trade Organization in Geneva (2012-2013). He was President of the Central Bank of Argentina (2004-2010), Chairman of the Americas Committee of the Bank for International Settlements (2008-2010), and President of the Governing Board of CEMLA (2005-2007).

Earlier in his career, he was Deputy Foreign Minister of Argentina (2002-2004), President of the Securities and Exchange Commission (CNV) in 1991, and Chairman of the Emerging Markets Committee at IOSCO (1992).

He graduated with a degree in Economics from the University of Buenos Aires. He completed postgraduate studies at Harvard University, obtaining a master’s degree in public administration, specializing in finance and international economics.
