The Asia School of Business (ASB) launched its groundbreaking Agile Continuous Education (ACE) with the highly anticipated inaugural Professional Certification in AI for Business Leaders. In rolling out the ACE movement with the AI program, Joseph Cherian, ASB’s Deputy CEO and Practice Professor of Finance, highlighted the revolutionary impact of AI, emphasizing its importance that pervades across all industries.
“As a finance professional, I see AI transforming industries beyond tech,” he noted. “It’s now a crucial driver of growth and competitiveness, and the ACE program is designed to equip leaders with the skills to leverage this game-changing technology.”
Led by Sanjay Sarma, CEO, President, and Dean of ASB, and Ong Shien Jin, Professor of Practice, the course attracted participants from diverse industries. Demand was high, resulting in a waitlist for future sessions.
During the session, Ong Shien Jin offered a thought-provoking perspective, stating that “the 21st century truly began in the 2020s” with the rise of AI. He explored the transformative potential of GPT-3, while Sanjay Sarma introduced Perplexity.AI, Fuzzy Logic, among other AI tools, guiding participants through the complexities of AI and its applications in business.
The program featured dynamic group discussions, where participants analyzed real-world AI use cases gleaned over the past decade. These debates focused on AI’s business impact, exploring whether its applications led to revenue growth, productivity gains, or cost savings. Deep in their learning modes and with the collaborative spirit palpable throughout the day there was rich exchange of insights and learning applications as they strategized the future role of AI in their industries.
