Malaysia’s National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR) and Malaysia’s third Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC3.0) outline an ambitious pathway for decarbonization, with a strong emphasis on renewable energy expansion, energy efficiency, and low-carbon transport. The goal of NDC 3.0 for an absolute reduction of 15 – 30 MtCO₂eq by 2035 from its peak level presents a case for why high leverage interventions are required.
