About The Conference
COVID19 has fundamentally transformed the socio-economic fabric of the ASEAN community. The rapid increase in cases of infection and hospitalisation especially in the last few months despite intensifying actions for vaccination further highlights the need to examine the realities on the ground and possible policy approaches to address the current challenges and recovery policies for the future.
To bring together scholars and policy researchers addressing these issues in ASEAN, the ASEAN Research Center at the Asia School of Business, endowed by Maybank, will be hosting a virtual conference titled “COVID19 and ASEAN – The Pandemic Times” on the 22nd and 23rd of November 2021. The conference will host a series of paper presentations addressing the current challenges and future recovery priorities in broadly three areas – public health, economy, and the society. We welcome papers from any field, as long as they have a novel intellectual contribution – fields include, but are not limited to, those within social sciences, humanities, sciences, and data analytics/computational sciences.
Who This Conference Is For
The conference will be aimed at academia and policy researchers but will be open to the public.
