Subramonia Sarma

Senior Director of Action Learning

Subramonia Sarma (or Sarmaji, as he is fondly called) is the Senior Director of Action Learning at Asia School of Business. He is one of the early founding members of the School, where he has been responsible for creating and growing the portfolio of Action Learning programs, which is a key differentiator in the ASB’s curriculum.

Prior to joining ASB, he was with a globally-ranked Business School in India, responsible for setting up their Entrepreneurship Centre and then later developing the Student Engagement and Applied Learning Division, overseeing practicum courses and all student activities outside the classroom. He also spent over two decades with the State Bank Group in India in consulting and financing roles. Before that, he worked with a manufacturing company for several years. An aptitude for problem solving and continuous improvement enables him to contribute to his areas of interest – entrepreneurship, mentoring start-ups, early stage financing, and strategic planning. A true Piscean, his easy and amicable nature helps in building strong relationships. He graduated from Regional Engineering College Calicut, in Kerala, India.
