Position Overview

The Admissions team main responsibility is the recruitment and admissions of students to the school’s MSc Central Banking program. The selected person to fill the post will be working closely with teams across the school and will be liaising directly with applicants. It is also expected for this person to participate in and support recruitment activities and admission events in a professional and flexible manner. This role requires the exercise of independent judgement and initiative, strong administrative and excellent interpersonal skills.

The Admissions Executive works within the admissions team in MSc Central Banking department to enable efficiency and productivity across a range of administrative functions and activities.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions**)
  • Undertake a broad range of administrative responsibilities relating to the MSc Central Banking admissions cycle
  • Schedules and organize admissions meetings and MSc Central Banking interviews
  • Assist with scheduling and organizing informational calls and campus visits with prospective applicants
  • Assist in the preparation and mailing of admissions packages
  • Assist in maintaining the school’s central admissions systems, policies and procedures
  • Assist in responding to admissions inquiries in a courteous and helpful way; these may be by telephone, email and in-person
  • Assist in handling relevant documentation on students’ applications
  • Update students’ database records and provide relevant reports as and when required
  • Assist with management and set-up of events (e.g., invitations, RSVPs, logistics)
  • Assist in arranging travel plans, itineraries, and agendas; and compiling documents for admissions and recruitment related travel
  • Responsible for processing expense claims and invoices related to admissions activities
  • Assist in tracking the budget for the admissions department
  • Engage & coordinate across ASB departments where necessary
  • Other administrative duties as needed
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field is required
  • A successful track record of at least 3 years in a similar administrative position
  • Strong communication skills with excellent command of spoken and written English
  • Must have the ability to interact and converse well with diverse internal and external stakeholders
  • Trustworthy and respects the sensitivities and confidentiality of data
  • Must be a self-starter, pro-active and has excellent organizational skills
  • Must be computer literate and experience in database management systems is an added advantage
  • Possess a pleasant and matured attitude with an affinity to work within diverse teams
  • Capacity for high-volume work, and can manage issues straddling multiple domains (either across departments or between stakeholders)
