Mr. Koh’s experience covers executive leadership roles in international capital markets and investment banking. He served as COO for Deutsche Bank’s Asia Pacific businesses after previously leading trading & sales teams at UBS and Citigroup. He has been deeply involved in the restructuring of the regulated securities and derivatives markets in Singapore. At SGX, he led the development and management of listed exchange products and services, before being appointed CFO and Head of Strategy. He had earlier helped steer an SGX-listed regional securities firm through consolidation of the brokerage industry, and later served as Co-CEO of an SGX-listed REIT.
Mr. Koh has been active in establishing and advising start-ups. He was co-founder of two commodities exchanges that were subsequently acquired. As a mentor at the Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology (SMART) Innovation Centre, he has advised many technology start-ups on their journey to creating impact and sustainability. He has also mentored SMEs specially selected by Enterprise Singapore for a program in leadership transformation.
Mr. Koh is a member of the Investment Committee of the World Maritime University, established in Sweden by the UN’s International Maritime Organization. He has previously served on MIT Sloan’s Asian Executive Board.
Mr. Koh holds an S.M. in Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Sheffield. He has also completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School and the Oxford Fintech Program at the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
