While the PBH supports logistics, priority should be given to the infrastructure development of the sector

THE aim of the Pan Borneo Highway (PBH) is to connect Sabah and Sarawak with Brunei and Kalimantan, which is expected to benefit their economic growth.

In terms of the oil and gas (O&G) industry, while the highway aids in logistics, the emphasis should be on the sector’s infrastructure development, particularly for Sabah.

Sabah Oil and Gas Services Council (SOGSC) VP Jesselton Jason James said currently, the Sabah O&G segment is concentrated at the West Coast due to the existing infrastructure.
